Naïm Abou-Jaoudé

EFAMA President

Naïm Abou-Jaoudé is the Chief Executive Officer of Candriam, a $140bn global multi-specialist asset manager and a recognized leader in Sustainable Investing. He is also the Chairman of New York Life Investments International, in charge of the global development for New York Life Investments, a $560bn asset manager.

Naïm Abou-Jaoudé has spent his entire career in the asset management industry, starting at Transoptions Finance (a Crédit Agricole company) in 1990. Between 1996 and 1999, he led the investment management of the Equity and Derivatives department at Alfi Gestion and UBS Asset Management.

From 2000 to 2006, he was the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of alternative investments at Dexia Asset Management, Candriam’s predecessor. He was then named Chief Executive Officer of the company in 2007, and member of its parent company’s Executive Committee (Dexia SA).

 

Naïm Abou-Jaoudé steered the acquisition of the company by New York Life Investments in 2014, and the creation of “CANDRIAM”, which stands for “Conviction AND Responsibility In Asset Management”.

In addition to his role as CEO of Candriam, he was appointed Chairman of New York Life Investments International in September 2015, leading the activities and development of New York Life Investments' business outside the USA.

Naïm Abou-Jaoudé is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Paris (IEP-Sciences Po) and holds a master's degree in Economics and Finance from Université Paris II – Panthéon Assas.

Valérie Baudson

Chief Executive Officer, Amundi

Valérie Baudson is Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Crédit Agricole S.A. in charge of the asset management division and a member of the Executive Committee of Crédit Agricole SA since May 2021. In this capacity, she is Chief Executive Officer of Amundi.

Valérie began her career in 1995 at Banque Indosuez in the General Audit department. She then joined Crédit Agricole Cheuvreux, the European brokerage subsidiary of the Crédit Agricole Group, as General Secretary and then Marketing Director for Europe.

Valérie joined Amundi in 2007 to create the ETF, Index & Smart Beta business line. Amundi ETF is now the 5th largest player in Europe. She went on to become a member of the group's Executive Committee in 2013 and then a member of the Management Committee in 2016, when she was also appointed Managing Director of CPR AM, an active asset management company recognized for its thematic and ESG expertise. At the same time, Valerie took on the supervision of Amundi's subsidiaries in Germany and Spain.

In 2020, she also took charge of the division dedicated to the Amundi Group's retail and private banking clients worldwide.

She was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Amundi in May 2021, succeeding Yves Perrier.

Valérie is a member of the Board of Directors of CA Indosuez Wealth, a member of the Strategic Committee of the Association Française de la Gestion Financière (AFG) and President of Paris Europlace Investors' College, which recently published the report "Investing with Purpose and Responsibility".

She is a graduate of HEC Paris.

He has a consolidated professional experience in the financial sector of 36 years. He started at Banco di Napoli in 1981, first in the Foreign Goods Office and then as a trader in the Exchange Room; in 1991 he assumed responsibility for the Long Term Yield Curve Desk first and for the Global Derivatives Desk then at Banca Popolare di Verona; in 1994 he became Director of Capital Markets Desk at Pasfin Securities Sim, SOPAF group; in 1996 Antonio Bottillo first became Treasurer and subsequently Head of Investments in Asset Management at the Milan branch of Banca Worms.

 

He joined the Natixis Group in 2001 to contribute to the creation of the Italian structure, initially as Head of Investments, then as Deputy General Manager, Board Member and finally as Chief Executive Officer, General Manager and Country Manager of Italy, Greece, Cyprus and Ticino

Patrick de Cambourg

Chairman of EFRAG Project Task Force

Since March 2015, Patrick de Cambourg has been President of the Autorité des normes comptables (ANC), the French accounting standard-setting Public Authority. As such, he is also a member of the Board of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the Board of the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), the Board of the CNOCP, the consultative body for public accounting standards and member of the Haut Conseil de Stabilité Financière. 

Patrick is also a member of the EFRAG Board. Since September 2020 he chairs the Project Task Force on preparatory work for the elaboration of possible EU non-financial reporting standards established by EFRAG following the mandate to EFRAG by EVP Dombrovskis. 

Patrick, a graduate from Sciences Po Paris, holds degrees in public and business law and is bachelor in Arts. As chartered accountant and auditor, he has spent his entire career within the Mazars Group, successively as junior, manager, and partner. He became President of Mazars in 1983. In 1995, he was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of the newly created international partnership, and in 2012 he became Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Since late 2014, he has been Honorary President of the Mazars Group.

Olivier has gained a broad experience in the financial services industry, especially in the investment fund and asset servicing industries, leading international engagements for Asset Managers, Wealth Managers and Financial Institutions focusing on operational change, strategic advice and regulatory compliance.

Olivier holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Tax Law and a Master’s degree in Management and Economics Sciences from HEC-University of Liège.

Natasha Cazenave has been the Executive Director of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) since June 2021. She was previously Managing Director in charge of the Policy and International Affairs Directorate at the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers and, between 2012 and 2016, Chair of IOSCO’s Policy Committee on Investment Management. Prior to that, she worked for a European consultancy specialized in corporate governance and the promotion of investor rights. She started her career in the Valuation and Business Modelling team of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance.

 

Natasha Cazenave holds a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Paris Dauphine.

Carole Crozat

Head of Fundamental Research - Blackrock Sustainable Investing (BSI)

Carole Crozat joined BlackRock in 2019 as Head of Fundamental Research at BlackRock Sustainable Investing (BSI), and brought 17 years of experience in sustainability to the role.

Prior to joining BlackRock Carole was Head of Sustainability Research at sell-side firm Exane BNP Paribas.

She had previously worked at Société Générale CIB for 6 years as a senior ESG research analyst, focusing on health and nutrition, as well as social risks in the supply-chain as well as at Allianz Global Investors, where she participated in the launch of multi-sector thematic funds.

Carole started her career at Vigeo-Eiris, a pioneering European ESG rating agency later sold to Moody’s.

Chris Cummings

Chief Executive Officer, The Investment Association

Chris Cummings is the Chief Executive of The Investment Association, a post he has held since September 2016.  The Investment Association is the trade body that represents UK-based investment managers.

 

He is a member of HM Treasury’s Asset Management Taskforce, and was a founding member of its Financial Services Trade & Investment Board. He serves on the Chancellor’s Financial Services Industry Advisory Group and Department for International Trade’s Financial Services Trade Advisory Group.  He is a Board member on EFAMA, the European trade association for investment management and is a member of the Regulation Committee of IIFA, the international association for investment management.

 

He was previously a member of the Financial Conduct Authority’s Regulatory Decisions Committee, a Settlement Decision Maker for the Payment Services Regulator.  He served on the Foreign & Commonwealth’s Diplomatic Excellence Panel.

 

Before joining The Investment Association he was the founding CEO of TheCityUK, held senior posts in banking, insurance and consulting with major global firms. He is a regular columnist, commentator and speaker on issues of international competitiveness and regulation in financial services.

Bernard De Wit is Deputy CEO and has been appointed Head of Amundi Business Support and Control Division in 2017. He is French and based in Paris.

He joined Crédit Agricole Asset Management in 2009 and worked initially on the merger with Société Générale leading to the birth of Amundi in 2010.  He was appointed Chief Risk Officer of Amundi in 2010, and Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer in 2013.

Beforehand, he has been working for the Crédit Agricole group since 1989, as Chief Finance Officer of a Regional Bank and in different management positions for the retail international network. He started his banking career in companies of the BNPParibas group in 1983.

He left Crédit Agricole group between 1992 and 2000.  During this period, he worked for KPMG in France, where he was appointed partner for the Banking sector in 1997.

Bernard has worked in France, Belgium, Russia and Latin America.

Bernard is 62 and holds a Master’s degree in Economy and an MBA.

Nathalie Dogniez is a Partner at PwC where she leads the AWM EMEA ESG practice . She has been servicing the asset management industry since 1989 and has more that 20 years of experience in ESG. She is member of the European Asset Management association (“EFAMA”) Standing Committee on Stewardship, Market Integrity, and ESG. She chairs the Luxembourg Fund Association (“ALFI”) Responsible Investing committee. She is also a co-coordinator of Findatex EMT-ESG and EET working groups and she is a member of the ESG eligibility committee of Luxflag (the Luxembourg Fund Labelling Agency). She is a regular speaker at Asset Management conferences, on ESG and sustainable finance matters

Gregory P. Dulski

General Counsel and Head of Government Affairs Federated Investors (UK) LLP

Mr. Dulski is the primary legal and regulatory attorney for Federated’s international subsidiaries, and is responsible for counseling on all operations, strategic transactions, corporate governance, compliance and regulatory matters. Mr. Dulski also serves as a director for Federated’s funds domiciled in Ireland, the United Kingdom, Canada and the Cayman Islands. In his capacity as Head of Government Affairs, Mr. Dulski represents Federated in various industry organizations including: European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA), Investment Company Institute (ICI), ICI Global, Irish Funds Association (IF), Institutional Money Market Funds Association (IMMFA), and the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF).

 

In addition to working on a variety of European financial services reform initiatives, Mr. Dulski has worked extensively on money market fund reform matters both in the United States and in Europe. Mr. Dulski is based out of Federated Hermes London office.

 

Mr. Dulski started his career in the financial services industry in 2001 when he joined the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania office of the law firm Reed Smith LLP. Mr. Dulski graduated with honors from The George Washington University School of Law in 2001 and is a non-practicing Certified Public Account, having received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Arizona State University. Mr. Dulski has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, teaching a class on EU and US investment management.

He has spent seven years in financial journalism – most of that at FTBusiness – and three years in general news. He also worked as a researcher on the book ‘Great Parliamentary Scandals’ by Matthew Parris. He has a degree in Spanish and spent one year studying at the University of Havana.

Director of Financial Stability Strategy and Risk, Bank of England

Lee is currently the Director of Financial Stability Strategy and Risk at the Bank of England, joining in January 2020. Before joining the Bank of England, Lee was Head of the International Department at the FCA 2017-2019 and oversaw the FCA’s brexit preparations and international and EU engagement. Before joining the FCA Lee Foulger was a Cabinet Member for Valdis Dombrovskis covering Financial Markets and Capital Markets Union and was also a Cabinet Member to Commissioner Jonathan Hill. Lee started his professional career at the HM Treasury in 2001, where he undertook various different positions dealing with financial services, growth and taxation.


Following that, he was involved in the creation of the ESAs, bank resolution and shadow banking at the European Commission. Between 2011 and 2014 he worked as the Head of Securities Markets Policy at Deutsche Bank, covering capital markets regulations.

Sven Gentner

Head of Unit Asset Management, DG FISMA, European Commission

Sven Gentner is the head of unit for asset management in the European Commission's directorate-general for financial stability, financial services and capital markets union. 

Sven joined the European Commission in 2004 and has served in various positions in its Brussels headquarters and abroad. From 2004-2006 he was responsible for the coordination of the EU-US Financial Markets Regulatory Dialogue, in 2006 he served as a member of the private office (cabinet) of the Commissioner responsible for the Internal Market, from 2007-2011 he was executive assistant to the director general of Directorate General Internal Market and Services with special responsibility for financial services. In 2011 he was seconded to the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa to advise the AUC on building an African internal market. From 2012 to 2013 he was head of unit for human resources and planning in DG Internal Market and Services. From 2013 to 2015, Sven was a counsellor in the Economic and Financial Affairs Section of the Delegation of the European Union to the United States. He dealt with EU-US regulatory issues and TTIP negotiations in financial services.

Sven started his professional career in the private sector where he worked for an insurance company.

Sven holds masters degrees in economics from Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt, and the University of York, UK.

After spending six years as a lecturer at the Universities of Oxford and Exeter, Dan moved into financial services via the FSA where he occupied a number of roles across complaints, financial promotions, retail themes and Treating Customers Fairly (“TCF”). He then moved to Barclays Global Investors as Europe Head of Regulatory Policy and Training and later took additional responsibility as Europe Head of iShares Compliance. After a short spell as Europe Head of Regulatory Policy at Macquarie Group he joined Fidelity Worldwide Investment in September 2010. Dan maintains academic interest across a range of subjects including regulatory and financial policy

Dr. Arne Hertel is a lawyer and has also obtained a Master's degree in International Law (MJI) in Giessen and Alicante (Spain). In this function, he represents the interests of the association's members at the national and European level and is also responsible for the implementation of legislation in the German Savings Banks Financial Group. Current priorities include the regulatory projects MiFID II/MiFIR, PRIIPs and the Capital Markets Union. Since 2018, he is the Chair of the Capital Markets Regulation Committee of the European Savings and Retail Banking Group (ESBG). Simon Janin

Head of Group Public Affairs, Amundi

Simon Janin is Head of Group Public Affairs at Amundi, the leading European asset manager (with more than €1.7 trillion of AUM), since July 2019.

As responsible of the Public Affairs and regulatory team, he is notably coordinating the public policy action of Amundi at the Group level.

Before joining Amundi, Simon Janin was in charge of Public Affairs for Société Générale, and prior to that, held various positions within the Public administration, both in Paris and Brussels, giving him a strong experience in financial regulation and European negotiations of various financial sector’s legislations (MiFID 2, UCITS directive, MMFR, Benchmarks regulation, CSDR, …). As deputy Head of Unit for Financial Markets at the French Treasury, first, he was notably in charge of the elaboration of the legislation applicable to financial markets and representing the Ministry of finances in the various European committees. Then, he was detached to the European Commission, as a seconded national expert within the DG COMP, before joining the French Permanent Representation to the European Union, as a financial services “attaché”, where he was responsible for the negotiation of all the legislative files in the field of financial markets and asset management.

Graduated of ENA (Ecole Nationale d’Administration) and IEP Paris (Sciences Po), Simon Janin earned a Master degree in Private Law at Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

Philippe Lamberts

MEP (Greens/EFA, Belgium), member of the ECON Committee

Philippe LAMBERTS was born in 1963 in Brussels (Belgium). He graduated as an engineer in applied mathematics from the Catholic University of Louvain. From 1987 to 2009, he held various commercial and managerial positions at IBM. In June 2009, he was elected to the European Parliament for a first term, during which he mainly dealt with banking and financial regulations. On 25 May 2014, he was re-elected as MEP, and one month later became Co-President of the Greens/EFA Group following an internal election process. After five years dedicated to strengthening the position of environmentalists within and outside the European institutions, Philippe was re-elected in 2019 for a third and last term to the European Parliament and re-elected as co-president of the Greens/EFA Group. For his final term as MEP, Philippe aims to keep climate emergency at the top of the European agenda and will continue the fight for social, economic and environmental justice.

Pat Lardner joined Irish Funds as Chief Executive in April 2012. He has over twenty-five years’ experience in the global asset management industry and has held executive/leadership positions in Ireland and overseas with firms managing a broad range of both traditional and alternative investment strategies. Pat is an active participant on all significant Government sponsored groups relating to funds in Ireland, is a member of the Board of the European Fund and Asset Management Association and was an Advisor to the Asset Management Association of China’s International Partners Committee between 2017-2019. He is a past Council Member of the Irish Association of Pension Funds and a former Director of both the Irish Association of Investment Managers and the International Investment Funds Association.  He attained honours undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from University College Dublin.

Andrea Liesenfeld

Andrea Liesenfeld is deputy head of unit of the retail financial services unit in DG FISMA. Prior to this, she worked on interinstitutional matters, fundamental freedoms and IP rights. She holds a PhD from the Ludwig-Maximilians Universitaet in Muenchen and a Master of Laws from the College of Europe (Brugge).

Sue Lloyd

Sue Lloyd was appointed as vice-chair of the International Accounting Standards Board (Board) in October 2016, having served as a Board member since 2014.

She was reappointed as vice-chair in April 2018 for a term of five years starting 1 January 2019.

She was appointed the Chair of the IFRS Interpretations Committee in February 2017 and continues to serve.

Prior to joining the Board, Ms Lloyd worked for the organisation as a senior technical director, leading the development of new IFRS Standards, and as director of capital markets with responsibility for the Board’s reform of accounting for financial instruments.

Ms Lloyd also worked for the organisation from 2002 to 2004 as a technical project manager.

She has held various positions in investment banking both in the UK and in Australia and has served as a member of the Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB). She has a Master’s degree in accounting and finance from the University of Auckland in New Zealand.

Iris is director general of the Dutch Fund and Asset Management Association (DUFAS). An association with 54 members. Representing 95% of managed assets in The Netherlands.

Iris has more than 20 year work experience in private banking and asset management. She had several senior management positions. Like group head of investment solutions at KBL European Private Bankers, global head of product development at MeesPierson and global head of fund marketing at Fortis Investments.

Iris has an economic study background with specialization in investment management. After several years of working in Luxembourg and Brussels, Iris lives with her husband in the city center of Amsterdam.

Gianluca Manca is the Head of Sustainability at Eurizon Capital. He served as chair of the Investment Commission and co-chair of the Asset Management working Group of the NEPFI then joined the Business Economy Environment group of GLOBE EU at the EU Parliament. 

Gianluca is awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Cattolica University in Milan, Italy, where he is a lecturer on Sustainability while he is co-head of the business simulation at the Executive Master in Finance SDA Bocconi University. At present he is a member of the EFAMA Stewardship, Market Integrity & ESG Investment Standing Committee and a member of the European Banking Federation’s Sustainable Finance wg where he serves as chair of the Disclosure and Metrics subgroup.

Gianluca currently serves as Member of the Board of the EU Ecolabel representing the European Banking Federation and he is a member of the EFRAG Advisory Panel on Intangibles.


He was a global equities fund manager, then focused on responsible investments in late 90s and later became the head of the global RI team.

At present he is the Secretary of the Sustainability Committee and the Chair of the Charity Committee at Eurizon Capital. In the past 20 years he co-authored various papers and publications on ESG integration and climate change (UNEPFI, WBCSD, CDP). 

Graduated with a MSc at Bocconi University, he worked on his thesis at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, and successfully passed the professional exam for CFPs.

In this capacity he deals with all kinds of relevant legislation on EU and national levels, such as the AIFM and UCITS Directives, MiFID II and PRIIPs as well as all issues relating to the German Capital Investment Code. Along with the Brussels office of BVI Marcus is coordinating the dialogue with EU institutions, ESAs and other European fund associations. He chairs the Fund Regulation, Asset Protection and Service Providers Standing Committee at EFAMA, the European investment management association. Martin Moloney

Secretary General of IOSCO

Martin Moloney joined the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) in September 2021 as Secretary General.

 

Prior to joining IOSCO, Martin was Director General of the Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) and before that he worked as a Special Adviser on Risk and Regulation to the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), where he served for 16 years, previously heading up the Markets Policy, Markets Supervision, and Legal and Finance Divisions respectively. Prior to joining the CBI, Martin worked for brief periods in the Department of Justice and the Irish Competition Authority, and spent ten years working in the Irish Department of Finance in positions of responsibility in relation to both national and semi-State debt management and the sale of State banks. Martin spent his early career working in Industry at Barclays Bank and the Bank of Ireland in London.

 

Martin has an LLM in Business Law and a Masters qualification in Economic Policy, both from Trinity College Dublin. He has Postgraduate Diplomas in Arbitration, Regulatory Management and has completed professional examinations of the Chartered Institutes of Bankers and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Senior Policy Advisor, Asset Management Policy Division, AMF

Franck Raillon is a senior policy advisor at the AMF’s investment management division of the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate since June 2019. Since then, he has been an AMF representatives at the IOSCO’s Investment Management Committee (C5) and at the ESMA’s Investment Management Standing Committee (IMSC). Since March 2020, Franck has been involved in several IOSCO and IOSCO-FSB workstreams that dealt with financial stability issues, including on money market funds and on liquidity risk management by open-ended funds. Before joining the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate, Franck spent seven years (2012-2019) at the AMF's Markets Directorate as a senior quantitative analyst in the markets surveillance division. During this period, he actively participated in the drafting of some of the MIF level 2 and 3 regulations and authored or co-authored several published articles : on the French ETF market (2017), on the episode of heightened volatility in early February 2018 (2018) and on the growing importance of the closing auction in share trading volumes (2019). Before joining the AMF, Franck was a market-maker on equity derivatives for 8 years (2004-2012).

Laurent Ramsey has been a Managing Partner of the Pictet Group since 1 January 2016. He has coheaded Pictet Asset Management (PAM) with Sébastien Eisinger since 1 April 2019, having been sole responsible of the Group’s institutional arm between 2016 and 2019.
 

He joined Pictet in 1993 and has held various senior management positions at PAM, both in Switzerland and in Asia.
 

Laurent holds a Master’s in International Management from HEC Lausanne School of Business and Economics.
 

Laurent also serves as Vice-President of the Geneva Financial Centre and is a Board member of the Swiss Funds & Asset Management Association.

Jarkko Syyrilä

Head of Public Affairs, Nordea Asset and Wealth Management

Jarkko advises Nordea’s senior management on challenges and opportunities caused by EU policy and regulation with specific focus on asset and wealth management. He coordinates Nordea’s external advocacy on regulation impacting asset and wealth management.

 

Before joining Nordea in 2014 Jarkko was Deputy Director General of EFAMA coordinating its regulatory activities. From 2006 to 2010 Jarkko was director for international relations at the Investment Management Association. Since 2004 he was the first rapporteur on asset management at the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR) in Paris building up the cooperation of national asset management regulators. From 1993 to 2004 Jarkko had various roles at the Finnish FSA.

Mark is CEO of Aviva Investors and a Director of Aviva Investors Board. Mark Versey joined Aviva Investors in 2014 and was appointed CEO in January 2021. Previously, he was Chief Investment Officer for Aviva Investors Real Assets from its formation in May 2018, during which time the business saw material growth, with assets under management increasing from £37 billion to £47 billion.

 

Mark sits on the Board of the Investment Association and chairs its Sustainability and Responsible Investment Committee.

 

Experience and qualifications

 

Mark began his career as a consultant Actuary and then gained a diverse experience across markets with investment banking roles in fixed income, equities and capital markets. He has extensive risk management and derivatives experience.

 

Prior to Aviva Investors, Mark worked at Friends Life where he was Chief Investment Officer of the Group and Managing Director of their in-house asset manager, Friends Life Investments. Previously, he was the Chief Investment Officer of AXA in the UK.

 

Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and has a Mathematics degree from Cambridge University.

Tanguy became the Head of EFAMA in December 2018. In that capacity, he leads in the formulation of industry positions on the main policy developments and engages with relevant EU and international authorities.

 

He is a member of ESMA’s Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group, chairs FinDatEx’s Steering Group and teaches 'Business interest representation in the EU' at the College of Europe in Bruges. Tanguy is also a member of the IIFA Board and sits on the Administrative Committee of the European Parliamentary Financial Services Forum.

 

Before joining EFAMA, he was Head of the Brussels office of AFME (European investment banking industry - 2015-2018), Director General of Leaseurope and Eurofinas (European leasing and consumer credit industries – 2006-2015), and Head of Banking Supervision and Capital Markets at the European Banking Federation (2001-2006). Other relevant roles include positions at Euroclear and Dexia as well as non-Executive Director of Belgium-domiciled UCITS (2006-2018).

 

He holds a degree in law from the University of Louvain-la-Neuve (BE) as well as a diploma in Political Sciences & International Relations and a certificate of specialised studies (DES) in Financial Risks Management.

Julien focuses on the asset management industry, advising U.S. registered investment companies and their directors, as well as their investment advisers and other service providers, on regulatory, compliance, governance and enforcement matters. He has experience with all aspects of investment company representations, including: board matters; exemptive applications; initial and ongoing registrations; complex fund reorganization transactions; affiliation considerations; and structuring funds of funds, manager of managers funds and registered funds using alternative investment strategies and fee arrangements.


As a general matter, Julien enjoys working on complex projects involving multidisciplinary advice. Brenden Carroll represents U.S. registered investment companies and investment advisers in a wide variety of regulatory, transactional and compliance matters. These matters include the development and launch of new fund products, including funds of funds and funds that incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors into their investment processes. He also advises clients on the preparation of registration and proxy statements and seeking exemptive, interpretive and no-action relief (including novel relief) from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Mr. Carroll has significant experience with respect to the SEC’s new “fund of funds” rule.
